Immigration and How ICE Enforcement Is Reshaping America in 2025 by Mar Vincent Cordovez
In 2025, ICE raids under President Trump’s Project 2025 have become chaotic, leaving immigrant communities in fear and reshaping the labor economy. I am now unsure of the future of even the naturalized immigrants where their citizenship might also be stripped off. A haunting image Glass House Farms in California shows ICE agents confronting workers with military support, highlighting the militarized tone of enforcement.
Protestors on the 101 Freeway in LA waved flags and clashed with police—symbolizing the raw resistance to these policies. Meanwhile, infographics from CBS News reveal nearly half of detainees lack criminal records, questioning the ethical framework of such actions.
An interactive map by USA Today details over 600 law enforcement partnerships aiding raids, mostly in Florida and Texas. Online social media platforms, show emotional reactions to detention and deportation scenes, spread fear across communities.

Project 2025’s policies rolling back DACA/TPS and removing protections around schools and hospitals are sparking legal debates and economic tension. Labor-intensive industries report workforce shortages, while families struggle under fear of separation. In sanctuary cities, local aid groups respond with resources like legal help and cash assistance to resist federal pressure.
I am just passionate about these news findings because I am an immigrant myself. Going through the process of bureaucratic immigration is no easy task and certainly does not help when family is involved. I think something snarky is going on but I am in no position to take my stand on going against the government. I believe there is more going on than just my opinion grieving with my fellow immigrants.
