A Strong Grip Might Mean a Long Life
A Strong Grip Might Mean a Long Life
By Mar Vincent Cordovez
I just read an article that opened my eyes to something simple but powerful which is grip strength. It turns out how firmly you can hold something might say a lot about your overall health and how long you will live.
Experts found that people with weaker grip strength are more likely to have heart problems, memory issues, and shorter lifespans. It is wild to think that something so easy to check, like how strong your hands are, can tell us so much about how our bodies are doing.
The good news is you do not need fancy gear to build grip strength. Squeezing a stress ball, doing pull-ups, or carrying bags of groceries can help. So if you have not tested your grip lately, try it out. It is a simple way to keep tabs on your health and maybe even add some extra years to your life.
